Very fine vessels more commonly found on the face are better treated by laser and/or I.P.L. Our aesthetic skin physician will advise you on your consultation visit which treatment is best suited for you and your skin type.
Before
After
A very fine needle is introduced into the vessel being treated. The vessel is then filled with a strong saline (salt) solution. Salt in this concentration causes microscopic damage to the cells lining the vein. The body's repair mechanisms respond to this injury by trying to heal the vessel and in the process shrink or obliterate the vessel. Generally one injection is needed per vein.
The procedure is relatively painless certainly less than any other type of injection and /or blood test. A cotton swab may be placed over the injection site for a short while after the procedure. The average treatment session is approximately 20-30 minutes.
For one or two weeks the vessels appear more prominent. The injection sites look like mild insect bites but do not itch. The veins begin to fade after a week or so and can continue to do so for up to 6-8 weeks. Patients, depending upon the extent of the veins, may need between one and four treatments. The physician will give you some outline on this at your first consultation. Exercise after treatment is encouraged.
Patients should have full realistic expectations of outcome whilst 90% of vein eradication is achieved, 100% disappearance is rare.
I.P.L. treatment for these thread veins is also greatly utilised, again the physician will advise you accordingly and this treatment area is covered in another section of this web-site.
Skin tags are a condition where a small area of skin flaps or protrudes. They can initially appear as a raised bump and get more noticeable as it develops a “stalk” of skin. Smaller skin tags are 2-3mm, but they can become 5mm or more which is known as papilloma. The can appear on the body or face and are particularly common where there is friction, such as in the underarm, groin, neck or breasts. They can also occur in sensitive genital and anal areas Medically skin tags are completely harmless and non-infectious.
These Skin tags can be quickly and easily removed by our experienced practitioner using specialised Cryotherapy (freezing) equipment. The treatment is relatively painless and there is little or no downtime at all. Any appointment will take approximately 30-45 minutes, this also depends upon the amount of skin tags you have. The removal may leave a very small scar but generally the area is red for few days and then all signs disappear. The practitioner will also advise you on any aftercare.
Home remedies on the market and/or internet are best avoided as they can cause infection or scarring.

“I had my first visit to the Henley Clinic about 2 years ago, I am extremely happy with my treatments of CACI and Hydradermie. I also had Ultherapy under eye treatment about 6 months ago to eliminate those unsightly under eye lines and thrilled with the results. The specialist Sarah who treated me was lovely and explained the procedure in depth and what I could expect. The therapists and reception ladies are very friendly, professional and very helpful. I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else.” Samantha *
