Coolsculpting – Targets the stubborn fat that often dieting and exercise just cannot remove
An introduction to Coolsculpting
Coolsculpting is a Non-invasive (fat freezing/cryopolisis) technology that safely delivers precise controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the skin itself un-affected. The treated fat cells are crystallised (frozen) then die and over time your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells. Leaving a more sculpted you. In fact – Unlike other cells in our body, fat cells do not die off and regenerate naturally. By adolescence we have all the fat cells we carry through life. These expand or contract as we put on or lose weight, but the number doesn’t change.
Non-surgical fat reduction
CoolSculpting® is the only FDA cleared non-invasive fat reduction device that operates via cooling. It’s one of the most studied treatments of it’s type, with over seven million treatments worldwide. CoolSculpting operates patented Freeze Detect® technology to prevent freeze burns and is the only fat freezing device to include this safety aspect.

FAQs
Who is an ideal candidate?
An ideal candidate will have stubborn areas of pinchable excess fat that they would like to reduce, where simple diet and/or exercise has failed for them in the past. CoolSculpting is NOT a weight loss programme or suitable for people who are obese, but is a viable alternative to liposuction. The treatment will be discussed in detail during your consultation to see whether it is suitable for you.
What happens to the fat cells?
Once the treated fat cells are frozen your normal metabolic body processes will eliminate the dead cells. The treated cells once treated are gone and gone for good.
Is the procedure painful?
As the cooling process begins, the skin feels some pressure on that area being targeted and intense cold. This soon calms down and during the procedure the patient can work on their laptop and/or phone, watch film/TV, relax/sleep etc.
How quickly do you see the results?
You will generally start to see results as soon as 2-3 weeks following your treatment, but the full results will be seen after about 2-3 months.
What are the side effects?
During the procedure you may experience in the treated area – numbness, pulling and tugging sensation and mild discomfort. Following the procedure possible mild numbing feeling, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness and stinging may occur, they are temporary and will normally subside within a few hours.
Is there any downtime?
Typically most people return to their normal daily activities following the procedure, often patients also return directly to work. There is no aftercare or special diets to follow post procedure.
How much does the coolsculpting procedure cost?
The price for Coolsculpting procedures varies depending on your areas of concern, the number of sessions needed and your ultimate goals. We will help create a customised treatment plan, that’s tailored to your body, your goals and your budget.
What happens if I gain weight down the road?
Many people, after seeing the results of their Coolsculpting procedure take even better care of themselves. However, if you do gain weight, you may gain it evenly all over your body, not just in the treated areas.
