An introduction to Microdermabrasion

Micro-dermabrasion is a very effective, gentle and pain free method for long lasting regeneration and rejuvenation of the face and body. Miniature abrasive diamond grains contained in a small stainless steel head which removes dead skin cells.

The process involves moving the diamond grain head across the skin, this gently removes dead skin cells layer by layer which are then taken away by a mild suction to dispose of the old skin. This action promotes new skin cell regeneration

Who is Micro-dermabrasion suitable for?

Micro-dermabrasion can be tailored to suit most skin types, by selecting the appropriate abrasive diamond grain suitable for your skin type. There are some skin types which are contra-indicated to this treatment, such as hyper-sensitive skin or post chemically peeled skin. Our Skin Therapists can decide this with you. We can also carry out a test patch on the skin to see how it responds before carrying out a full treatment.

For best results we recommend a course of treatments, the duration and frequency of which depends on the individual skin type. This is generally a cycle of six treatments at weekly intervals.
